Cornell University is my all-time favorite private Ivy League research university in Ithaca, New York. The school is one of the best computer science colleges in the northeast.

It has top-notch programs in agriculture, engineering and computer science programs.

Ezra Cornell and Andrew Dickson White founded Cornell as a coeducational, non-denominational institution. Admission goes to any student who can afford tuition.

They accepted 14 black students between 1865 and 1868, making them one of 4 major universities that made steps towards desegregation before the 1950s. Cornell has almost 7,000 graduate students studying across its 7 schools and colleges.

Cornell University’s computer science program is one of the best in the northeast, with an 11% acceptance rate. The CS program is ranked 7th by the Computer Science Ranking organization. In addition, Cornell University ranks #17 on U.S. News & World Report’s list of top National Universities.

The college offers various computer science courses, from artificial intelligence to database systems. The faculty are world-renowned researchers, and the computer science department has strong ties to industry.

The university thrives on helping its students succeed. Columbia also has a thriving community of students who are passionate about computer science. Many students are involved in many extracurricular activities and clubs related to computer science.

5. Northeastern University

Northeastern University is in Boston, Massachusetts, and it is one of my favorite schools.

I think that Northeastern’s mission statement describes me best as a person: We are inspired learners, creative thinkers and positive contributors who seek transformative experiences to make a difference locally and globally.

Computer science at northeastern university is top-notch. The college is well known for its innovative computer science course, which exposes students to all significant fields of computer science, including artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Northeastern University computer science ranking consistently ranked among the top 20 best computer science colleges in the northeast. In 2022, the CS Ranking organization ranked NU’s computer science as the #13 in the USA. However, the school is selective as its acceptance rate peg at 20%.

In addition to an excellent computer science program, students can choose from more than 200 undergraduate majors and minors at Northeastern. Many of their top graduates pursue graduate degrees at other leading institutions like MIT, Cornell, Columbia University etc.

6. University of Pennsylvania

The University of Pennsylvania is a private institution established by Benjamin Franklin in 1776. In 2020, it had a total undergraduate enrollment of 9,872.
